Orthognathic surgery

Patients may have an abnormal occlusion due to a number of causes. In combination with an orthodontist Dr Monshizadeh can help restore jaw position to a normal range optimising the position of the teeth and jaw function.

This surgery may require repositioning the top jaw (maxilla), mandible (lower jaw) or both jaws. Braces are often required for a significant time prior to surgery and also a shorter period after surgery.
